This problem is caused by older hardware of the computer. To achieve real 0,001 second accuracy, SRM speeds up the pc's internal clock up to 600x the original speed during a timed race. The resulting deviation of the pc's clock (time & date) is corrected when the race finishes. When a race is started at the end of a year (say on 12-31-2008), the pc's clock rolls over during the race, to the next year. With some old pc's having the milennium bug, this could result in problems ranging from incorrect timing to a freezing computer. You can solve this by temporarily setting the clock ahead one day, to the beginning of the next year.
